Don’t follow your heart and emotions.

Verse of the day: Hebrews 12:14: Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Hello, how is everyone doing, hopefully, you are doing good in Christ, I know life can seem a bit lonely, coming from someone who experienced that himself but continue to remind yourself that everything will be alright in Christ, as long as you keep believing in him as your Lord and Saviour, and as long as you keep doing his will, (John 14:15 If ye love me, Keep my commandments). I remind myself of this every day too because I am not the perfect human being, I do fall into temptations too, but the difference between them and me is that I realise my sins and continue to repent in Christ, but they don’t, they commit sins and they continue to live life like nothing had taken place. That is probably what I am about to talk about in this blog, Funny enough, I did not know that it was going to link to the main subject of the blog. God works in mysterious ways, they say. Ok, you see these people that believe they are saved and continue to live in sin always say things like “Jesus has made me free”, “I know what my heart is telling me” I just feel that I am doing the right thing”, “you didn’t experience what I experienced”. Weird enough, their conversion from sinners to born-again Christians fruit is nowhere to be found. That’s a blog for another day (what are your conversion fruits as Christians). My point is that we can’t rely on these things, relying on our hearts, experience, and emotions.

How can we rely on things that fail us most time? your heart tells you to do something, guess what? that’s probably the worst thing or decision you have made in your life.

And about our experience of salvation, for we Christians, we only have one experience, “an experience that should only be found in Christ Jesus”. Notice that when people get saved, they mainly indicate one thing, that they are born-again in Christ, not you saying that you slept as a bad person one day, and all of a sudden you woke up to realise that you are a good person, so that’s your experience and that means you are saved. As weird as it can be, I know some individuals believe things like this, for real no joke. Even the Bible let us know about these things (not trusting them).

Here are some Bible Verses that give some insight into our hearts as human beings.

Genesis 8:21

21And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

Ecclesiastes 8:11

11Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Jeremiah 17:9

9The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Matthew 15:19

 19For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Only if we can realise that we can’t trust all these things that we have fully put our trust in, and that the only trust that can be trusted (if that is an English), is the trust that is found in the Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks a lot of reading.

Bible Verses about {Anxiety}

Philippians 4:6-7

6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7

7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Matthew 6:25-34

25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Philippians 4:13

 13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Hebrews 13:6

6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

1 Peter 5:10

10But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Psalms 32:10

10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

John 14:27

27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:1-4

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Bible Verses about {Lust}

1 John 2:15-17

15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Mark 4:19

19And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

John 8:44

44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Romans 1:24

24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Romans 6:12

12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Romans 13:14

 14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Ephesians 2:3

3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Ephesians 4:22

22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

2 Timothy 2:22

22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

2 Timothy 4:3

 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Titus 3:3

3For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

James 4:1-3

1From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

1 Peter 4:1-4

1Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 4Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

Jude 18

18How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

Psalms 71:5

Psalms 119:114

114Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Proverbs 10:28

28The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Romans 5:1-5

1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 15:13

13Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

3The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

Unbelievers and Sugar-Coating the Bible.

Hello, hope you are doing alright. I know life can prove to be hard, but remind yourself that Jesus ended it all on the cross and that all you always need is Jesus Christ because He is everything.

Is it just me or do you also come across all sorts of things, sources, and people out there who only love reciting the bible verses that in their minds align with their lifestyles, which is not of God. A lot of them like to say things like Jesus preached love, why are you hating? God loves everyone no matter what, Thou shall not judge, or judge not. All these are just referred to as sugar-coating the Bible, being that they only want to hear and practice sweet and pleasure-giving verses of the Bible that align with their lives. SAD.

You can eat your cake and have Sir, you can’t cherry-pick what to practice from the bible, you are to live the entire Bible. From my own understanding, the entire Bible themes, events, generations and everything else you can think of, all lead to one ultimate theme “Jesus Christ”. There is no jumping the staircase here, you have to use your legs one by one, basically take the bible as it is, not picking only what suits your life or your situation.

The thing I find funny is that those who don’t believe in God or believe in other false gods are those who actually argue about the word of God ( the Holy Bible).

{On My Death Bed}

Hello, How are you doing? I hope you are doing well in Christ. I have wanted to do this for a while now. What is this? you may ask. I have wanted to write about my experience with people on their death beds. I have in recent years found myself working in a healthcare sector, in which here and there people progressively deteriorate and die, or in general suddenly pass on. Me being me ‘a night shift worker’, I have spent a few times with them talking with them on my night shifts, questioning them, just to know how life was for them. Their narratives always tend to start the same way and end similar as well. Well, I will be talking about those things here in the nearest future. Before I close, let me leave this with you.

Ecclesiastes 12:8-14

8Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity. 9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. 10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.

11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd. 12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

A little Part of the Sermon”Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” by Jonathan Edwards from July 8 1741.

All Wicked men’s pains and contrivance which they use escape hell, while they continue to reject Christ, and so remain wicked men, do not secure them from hell one moment. Almost every natural man that hears of hell flatters himself for his own security; he flatters himself in what he has done, in what he is now doing, or what he intends to do. Every one lays out matters in his own mind how he shall avoid damnation, and flatters himself that he contrives well for himself and that his schemes will not fail. They hear indeed that there are but few saved, and that the greater part of men that have died heretofore are gone to hell; but each one imagines that he lays out matters better for his own escape than others have done. He does not intend to come to that place of torment; he says within himself, that he himself as not to fail. But the foolish children of men miserably delude themselves in their own schemes, and in confidence in their own strength and wisdom; they trust to nothing but a shadow. The greater part of those who heretofore have lived under the same means of grace, and are now dead, are undoubtedly gone to hell; and it was not because they were not as wise as those who are now alive: it was not because they did not lay out matters as well for themselves to secure their own escape. If we could speak with them, and inquire of them, one by one, whether they expected, when alive, and when they used to hear about hell ever to be the subjects of that misery: we doubtless, should hear one and another reply, “No, I never intended to come here: I had laid out matters otherwise in my mind; I thought I should contrive well for myself: I thought my scheme good. I intended to take effectual care; but it came upon me unexpected; I did not look for it at that time, and in that manner; it came as a thief: Death outwitted me: God’s wrath was too quick for me. Oh, my cursed foolishness! I was flattering myself, and pleasing myself with vain dreams of what I would do hereafter; and when I was saying, Peace and safety, then suddenly destruction came upon me.
