Hello, how are you doing? hope you are doing well and don’t forget Christ saved us from our sins
I am currently on an holiday to Kununurra, a town 3 hours flight away from Perth in Western Australia. A quiet little town, mainly for the Indigenous Aboriginal People, but lively when tourists shows up. Coincidentally, I had book my one week off work as the same time when tourists shows up. I had come to visit my mom who works as a support worker there. Looking around me, everything seems to be very quiet and dry most times. But, I also looked around to see people who are just happy to be here. Compared to the main cities Kununurra is a small town with limited resources, yet everyone goes by their day, getting what they want and making use of it. Warm weather, limited resources, limited social amenities, yet people are happy. I also observed a lot of family gatherings. I thought to myself, people are happy here compared to the city where everyone tends to live and where everyone claims to be more opportunities. I thought again to myself, people who have nothing compared to those who claim to have everything are literally happy in nothing. Then I thought to myself, with everything in this world, people are not happy. People try to acquire everything thinking they will be happy. But truly, real happiness comes from nothing we can provide by ourselves. True happiness comes from the Lord. If you look through the examples of the Bible, they had nothing, yet they were truly happy in trusting the Lord only. Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Ruth, David, Daniel, Mary, and Paul, to say a few. Happiness can only be truly found in serving and obeying the Lord.
