Are We Truly Christians? (Part 2)

What am I meant to say to someone who claims to be a Christian, plays instruments in the church on Sundays, but other days are making world music and attending shows to perform the worldly music? What am I meant to ay to the church members that encourages the “so-called Christians” to make worldly music, since everyone makes it in those genre of music nowadays? You will probably make it, but are you a Christian?

Early Christians did not pay around with the faith in Christ. Don’t tell John the Baptist “don’t judge me, I am a Christian that gets drunk”. Don’t tell Saint Stephen “I am a Christian that aspires to be like Kim Kardashian”. Don’t tell Simon Peter “I am a Christian that sleeps around outside marriage”. Don’t tell Apostle Paul “I am a Christian, but wears clothes to entice the opposite sex”. Don’t tell these people who died for the faith all these things. These people died being Christ-like. They adhere to the life and teachings of Christ without hesitating a second.

Well, you might say ‘I love Jesus no matter what and time has changed’. Time changed. My friend, but Jesus Christ did not. Do we truly love Jesus?

Mark 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Matthew 22:37-38  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

John 2:3-4 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

1 Corinthians 11: 1-2 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Acts 2: 38-39 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

1 Timothy 3: 14-15 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

2 Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

2 Thessalonians 2: 14-15 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

John 8: 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

What are these commandments? Adhering to the entire Bible and letting it guide your life is following Jesus Christ’s commandments. (Mark 8: 34-38: And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.)

Here are some commandments.

Few of God’s commandments. How many of us truly love God? We cherry pick what we want to follow, only what we want to hear or feel from. We only want those easy things. We only want God’s blessings. How can Christ die for our sins, claim to love Him, and still hold on to everything that He says we should let go. No one is perfect here, but you can’t claim to be a Christian and live in all what God hates . God is love. Yes, He is love, but God is also Holy, so He hates unholy things.

Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
