Hello, how are you doing? Hope you are doing good. Let’s dive straight into this one. I am very passionate about this. With the rise of sexualisation of everything around us, pornography has become the new norm. Because everyone does it, so it must be a nice thing. Well, I am here to tell you that it is not. Pornography destroys your soul, like every other sexual immoralities in this world. Things like sex outside marriage, sex before marriage, hook up culture, only fans dungs, teenage relationship culture, masturbation and any other sexual debauchery out there. Every evil thing has been normalised now. Most men can’t get their eyes off naked women or sensually dressed women, and most women can’t stop feeding their garbage to these men. Going through all the plastic surgeries in this life all for nothing. What a life. We put everything into this so-called body of ours, just for us to die and serve as a banquet for the ants that will devour our body in no time. Meanwhile destroying our souls, the only thing that will matter for ever. Sad!!

Pornography. Yes, where can I start? I got exposed to that garbage when I was in high school. Everyone makes sexual jokes in high school. Innocent souls being indoctrinated by this culture. Guess what, I decided to see what it actually was. Watched it for the first time, and that was probably the worst decision I have ever made in my life. I kept on watching few times after the first day. Then I began to find out that I after I had watched it, I felt ashamed and always felt empty. I always felt like something was taken away from me. All this happened before I dedicated my life to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Before I knew it, it became a pattern of watch first then feel ashamed and empty after. I was ashamed about something, I really couldn’t understand why. But that was the norm I was living in. It was ‘cool’ if you did it. People only talked about the watching part. No one told me about the shame part. Some people may deny this and say that they don’t feel ashamed. Why is it then that you watch it in secret? why? Or are you far too deep into your lust?

Thank God for the Bible. I began to read the Bible after high school, after I gave my life to Christ. I think I know why the shame comes after someone engages in sexual immorality.

To set the record straight ‘watching pornography is a sin’ ‘sex outside marriage is a sin’ ‘sex before marriage is a sin’ ‘sex with your so-called girlfriend or boyfriend without being married is a sin’ ‘hook-up culture, one night stand are all straight from hell’. They are all sexual immoralities. You will probably disagree. Probably because of your future intentions to dabble in more fornications. Let me drift off here a bit. What is the point of being intimate with someone you claim to love, just for them to break up with you weeks or months later? My Gen-Z fellows, I think we had gotten it all wrong. We are building on our lust for one another. This break up culture thing is not real love!! What is the point of sleeping with two, three, four, five ‘boyfriends/ girlfriends’ just to stick to one person for the rest of your life? I am not trying to prove that I am too righteous than you, but my point is that all form of sexual immorality are sins and they destroy our souls.

And for some ‘Christians’ out there, they would say pornography is not sinful, it is not physical sex. It is still sin. Why would Jesus say if a man lust after a women with lust, he has committed adultery with her in his heart?

I would think there is a shame that comes after committing other forms of sexual immoralities as well. Some of those which was listed earlier. There is definitely some form of shame., unless you lewdness has completely consumed you. This shame does not come with other things that are considered sinful. We don’t feel ashamed when we lie, unless we get caught. Sexual sin is different. This shame comes because are body is meant to be for God. But because of our lust of the flesh, we eagerly devour ourselves. God has a way of getting us no matter what. We can’t escape the judgments our conscience hands out to us.

1 Corinthians 6: 18-20

{KJV} 13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 15Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

{ESV} 13“Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! 16Or do you not know that he who is joined^d to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” 17But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. 18Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin^e a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 19Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Sexual immorality destroys the soul. Some people would probably not understand the significance of these. Probably because they are planning their next sinful act with themselves or their unmarried partners. For the one who are struggling to get off pornography or are trying to abstain from sexual immorality, stay away from situations that makes you vulnerable, stay away from social media if need be. Speak to someone you trust. Please stay off pornography. It will destroy you in no time. It only takes from you and leave you with nothing.

I have been there, pornography shuts you up and slowly consume your soul. Abstain from sexual immoralities. Sexual sins are very deadly. They will destroy you live. Stay away. Please, stay away. Most importantly pray and meditate of God’s word everyday. Once again, please stay away from sexual sins. You will gain nothing from them. Sex is a powerful and spiritual thing for creating human lives and is only right when done in marriage.

You may think you are living the life. You probably are. But ask yourself, what is the point if it all counts for nothing?

Let me end it here. If sexual immorality is not that a big deal, why does it say in the Bible to flee sexual immorality, but to resist the devil and he will flee from us. Why not the other way around ??
